Paddleboarding Drop-In on campus

This event is part of SIZ Green Week

Paddleboarding on campus led by qualified student activators - please note the info below and buy your tickets before they sell out! 

Timing:

Meet in the square outside the SU bar for 14:00 (please be a few minutes early so you are ready to walk to the water sports storage at 14:00).

What to bring:

  • As this is a watersport you need to prepare for potentially getting your clothes wet, so please bring a towel and spare change of clothes. The water sports changing area is a shared space. The student activators will be able to bring you back to the sportspark where you can take a shower after the session should you wish to. 
  • You will need to wear trainers whilst taking part in the session. 
  • If it is cold wetsuits and waterproofs can be provided as well as a buoyancy aids (lifejacket). 
  • Please bring a water bottle and any snacks you may like, food is not provided.
  • If you are happy to please disclose any medical information you think is necessary for our activators to know please inform us on your ticket purchase,  this allows are activators to be prepared to help.

Terms

If you purchase a ticket please make sure to turn up to the activity, as we want to ensure we provide as many opportunities for students as possible.  If you do not turn up without prior notice then we will not be able to refund you, if you contact us in advance and we are able to find someone else to replace your space on the activity then we will be able to refund your ticket.

  • We're committed to making sure all uea+sport events are as accessible as possible for all students.
  • Please note there will be mild manual handling involved. 
  • This event requires physical activity so if any attendees with individual concerns about their accessibility are advised to contact uea+sport via studentsport@uea.ac.uk for additional support.
