Transforming Education Awards (TEAs)

What are they?

The TEAs are our way of giving back to the academic community at UEA; taking a night to recognise the efforts of those that go above and beyond!

More often than not, academic staff will go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes for their students without thinking anything of it. This is what everyone's expected to do, right? Well, we're here to let you know that we see your efforts, that they are appreciated in any form that they might take and that they (and you) should be celebrated for the great things that work enables!

With more than 12 categories to choose from, we encourage you to take a moment and think of any exceptional lecturers or student reps and nominate them for an award!

How do I nominate someone?

You'll find the nomination form below; all you'll need is the name of your nominee, their email address (if you know it!) and select the name of the award you'd like to nominate them for. We'll do the rest!

What's it like?

It's been a few years since we have been able to host the TEAs in person, and we are very excited to announce that we'll be returning to this tradition this year! If you've never attended the TEAs before, we've collected some photos from previous awards evenings to give you an idea of what to expect:

A word from the previous UEA vice chancellor

“I have been so impressed by the resilience and dedication shown by our staff and students in the past two years through very challenging circumstances. It is wonderful to see campus full of activity again and to see students benefiting from everything which UEA has to offer. I appreciate the work of all UEA staff in ensuring that students have a great education experience here. Good luck and thank you to all those nominated in this year’s Transforming Education Awards.”
- David Richardson, VCO
