DSD Summer Sailing Taster

Do Something Different this summer!

Come along and give sailing a go! This session is open to anyone and all abilities are welcome. We provide all transport - leaving UEA from the LCR turning circle (just in front of the Hive) at 10am and getting back around 3pm. 

We will drive to Wroxham broad (25 mins) and spend about 3 hours sailing, with a break for lunch. We also provide all the necessary safety equipment such as wetsuits and buoyancy aids, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have it. 

All beginners will be partnered with more experienced sailors, and there is the option of sailing with a friend - just let us know if there is someone you want to be partnered with! 

You will need to bring:

• Swimming kit (for under the wetsuit)

• Shoes you don’t mind getting wet 

• Towel

• Warm clothes for afterwards (+ maybe a change of shoes!)

• Any food and drink for the day

• Waterproof jacket/suncream/sunglasses/water etc

Please try to be at the LCR turning circle 15mins early and let us know if you can no longer make the session - just send us a quick email or DM! Similarly, feel free to ask any questions about the session, we would be more than happy to help.
