Representation and Visibility

  • Show more Black students in university promotional materials, website content, and social media.
  • Address lack of diversity in certain schools, societies and clubs.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities, mentorship programs and leadership workshops tailored to our Black students.

Advocacy and Support

  • Regular Engagement: Hold meetings, send out surveys, have an open line of communication so you can get your voice heard.

  • Advocate for diverse perspectives in course materials, guest lectures, and academic panels.

  • Resource Accessibility: Push for more finical aid opportunities, dedicated spaces for cultural activity and especially mental health support for our community.

Community Building

  • Fostering connections with clubs, societies, and peer support groups to create inclusive spaces for Black students.
  • Organise collaborative initiatives and events that celebrate Black culture, achievements, and diversity, promoting a sense of empowerment and support.
