Your Vote is for me, teehee?

Hi, I’m Erin and I’m a trans woman who uses she/her pronouns.

Pushing for much needed change is something I’m really passionate about, and I want to pursue activism throughout and after my time at University.

I’m also the current Trans & Non-Binary Vice President in Pride Soc. So far my main contribution has been a support document for trans and non-binary people, with information on name changes, support available at UEA, etc.. This is something I am hoping to develop even more throughout this year.

I like to see myself as a person who wants to understand others' experiences, and hope this would make me an approachable LGBT+ Officer for anything you may need.

If I am elected I have a few ideas I hope to discuss and implement:

  • A support directory could be developed, utilising services both within the university, and throughout Norwich.

  • More gender neutral toilets throughout campus.

  • The development of the Trans & Non-Binary support document, making it accessible on the SU site.

In short, I’m always looking for opportunities to contribute to students’ experiences, and it is essential that being trans or non-binary doesn’t effect your time at UEA in a negative way. To do this, I think it’s important to represent the community wherever possible.

But regardless of if I get elected or not, I’d love to help make a positive impact on your time at UEA. Hope you have a nice day :)
