Let's Make UEA Better.

Hey! My names Nathan and I’m running to be a non-portfolio officer. I’m originally from Cambridgeshire and I have always been involved in community projects and local events. I want to use my experience as an advocate for my town to make UEA a better place to work, live and study at.

Warm Rooms on Campus

Energy price hike - students are going to be pushed into fuel poverty.

Student homes are poorly insulated, poorly heated, damp and mouldy.

Offering spaces on campus that are heated well we can ensure that students have a safe warm space to be, even if your homes aren’t.

Timetable Transparency

Evision to Timetabler change last term caused havoc for students and staff alike

I will fight for an easier system to get timetable issues resolved.

Decarbonise UEA

Protecting our environment is as important to me as it is to you. I’ll make sure the University and SU are ethical and aren’t supporting polluters.

I support the Divestment Coalition and its call for an ethical investment policy.

Support for strike action

I helped to promote the 2020 rent strike that got UEA students an £800 rebate on our rent.

As a trade unionist, I wholeheartedly support the forthcoming strike action and the national student walkout on the 2nd of March.

COVID support

I want to ensure that UEA students are getting access to support during self-isolation.

Help for those suffering with long-COVID symptoms.
