Recreational (Rec) Skate

Come and join UEA Ice Society in our fortnightly recreational skating session! Everyone is welcome, no skating experience is needed. Make sure you join the UEA Ice facebook group and let us know you're going on the event post.

We have our first rec skate of the semester at Cambridge ice arena. There is no skating experience needed as we have members who are happy to help teach you the basics of skating so everyone is welcome. Skates and transport are provided.
Join the facebook group and on the event comment in the transport post to ensure you get a space on the bus.
If you want to borrow a pair of skates comment in the skates post your shoe size and whether you want hockey or figure.
We will meet in the Hive at 17:00 and will leave campus at 17:30. If you are borrowing skates from the club please ensure you arrive early so you can try skates on.
The journey to Cambridge Ice Rink takes about an 1 hour and 30 mins with the public skate session starting at 19:00 and finishing at 20:30. After the session we will likely stop at McDonald’s and will arrive back on campus for about 23:00.
This session costs £10, including skates and transport. 
There are a limited number of spaces so if you’re interested make sure to buy tickets before they run out.
