This is a great opportunity to practice your public speaking skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Our workshops aim to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions through education and by raising awareness
Join us in delivering a workshop for 16-18 year olds at Hellesdon High Sixth Form!
This is a great opportunity to practice your public speaking skills in a safe and supportive environment, whilst helping to spread an important message.
Our workshops aim to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions by raising mental health awareness and encouraging open conversation, especially amongst young people.
We will be delivering 2 workshops at Hellesdon High Sixth Form, one after the other. The first will be to a group of Year 13 students (aged 17-18) starting at 10:45am, and the second will be to a group of Year 12 students (aged 16-17) starting at 11:35am.
Each of the 2 groups you will be speaking to will consist of 100 students and the workshops will be delivered during the students assembly time.
Transport will be arranged by us, and will leave from UEA campus (outside Congregation Hall) at 10:15am for us to arrive at the school at 10:30am – leaving enough time for us to get signed in and set up to start the workshop at 10:45am.
We will also be arranging additional small group workshop training. This will give you a change to practice talking through the workshop with the other volunteers that have signed up to help deliver the workshop, with the supervision and support of a Headucate member experienced in delivering workshops.
