Buxton Heath Conservation Work Party
Saturday 12 November 2022, 9:20am - 4pm
A fun trip out to one of Norfolk's most unique nature reserves, to help conserve the rare wildlife found there!
We'll be getting picked up from UEA at 9.20, from the roadside by the security offices /opposite the sportspark entrance. There is limited space for this trip, so please email ueacaws@gmail.com and it'll be first come, first served as to who is able to go.
We will be doing some scrub clearance in an area of wet meadow which holds many rare insects and plants, and which requires management to ensure the habitat stays suitable for them. After that, Phil (the co-ordinator of our volunteer work parties) will lead a walk around the reserve to show you some of the brilliant wildlife that can be seen there. Many different Fungi, Roe Deer and the last few flowering plants of the season are some of the likely sightings of interest.
Make sure you bring a packed lunch, and check the weather forecast a day or two before going and dress appropriately!
