How to Engage Publics with Climate Change
Monday 17 March 2025, 2pm - 3pm
Bookable Room 1
Whether you are a scientist or in the communication field, here is a great opportunity to join a session held by Asher Minns, talking about effectively communicating climate change to various different sectors and stakeholders.
As written by Asher Minns,
'Join my session if you’d like some knowhow and confidence for successful communication and engagement. I am a science communicator who specialises in knowledge transfer of climate change research to audiences outside of academia and I am a pioneer of applying theory and evidence to inform the practice of climate change communication.
I’ve over two decades of experience of engaging people with climate and sustainability research, as one of the first communication professionals in the field. My university career has spanned Imperial College, Oxford University, international Future Earth, and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, a partnership of four UK Universities led by UEA, and Fudan, Shanghai. I’ve a humanities MSc in Science Communication, a BSc in Ecology, and an HND in Conservation Management. And I’m a fully-qualified Radar Engineer.
