Epic Comedy Club returns May 3rd with headliner Simon Brodkin

Most known for his various comedy characters including Lee Nelson, Simon is now performing as himself. Simon is currently on a solo world tour which already included TWO SOLD-OUT shows at the Norwich Playhouse. Simon will be taking a night out of his tour to perform at Epic Comedy Club making this an exclusive comedy event.

Star of Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer (Channel 4) Simon hit global headlines multiple times for his high-profile stunts, including handing Theresa May a P45 during her speech at the Conservative Party Conference, showering disgraced FIFA president Sepp Blatter with bank notes, and surrounding Donald Trump at the opening of his golf courses with 60 swastika-emblazoned golf balls.

Simon’s most famous character is “comedy legend” (The Sun) Lee Nelson, writing and staring in two series of BBC Three’s ratings smash Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and the sketch series Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People, which introduced the nation to a plethora of brilliant characters.

Simon’s latest show Screwed Up was performed to sold-out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer and Dominic Maxwell (The Times) said  “no show has made (him) laugh more than this one…”.

Tom Ward

Hello, Tom here. Now, let’s be very clear about this – comedy is my one true love. I leave my phone on at night in case she calls, and I always take her back…even though my friends warn me against her.

I recently did Live at The Apollo, which was probably the greatest moment of my life. I may never be the same again. In fact I’ve already started being more rude with the staff at restaurants and bars and it feels really terrific.

Josh Jones

After his hilarious debut TV appearances on E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Josh has gone on to host BBC Three’s Fast Food Face-Off and make guest appearances on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, ITV2’s Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility, E4’s Reality News, Sky Max’s Dating No Filter, Dave’s Late Night Mash, and Comedy Central’s Undeniable, Guessable, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains and Comedy Central Live. Josh recently made his debut appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

In 2022 Josh was nominated for Best Newcomer at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his critically acclaimed sell-out show Waste of Space. He was previously a finalist for the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, which he subsequently went on to judge on BBC Three

MC – Catherine Bohart

Your MC for the night is one of the most sought-after comedians in the UK and Ireland, Catherine Bohart. She took her debut solo show, Immaculate, to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018 to widespread critical acclaim, with The Times describing it as “the sort of perfectly structured Edinburgh debut you always hope for and rarely get to see”.

The past twelve months have seen Catherine record Immaculate for her debut special as part of Soho Theatre Presents… for Amazon Prime Video. She has also made multiple appearances on shows such Mock The Week, Late Night Mash and The News Quiz, as well as recording stand up sets for both BBC2’S Funny Festival Live and Sky 1’s The Deirdre O’Kane Show.

Catherine co-hosts the Trusty Hogs podcast with previous Epic Comedy Club performer Helen Bauer.
