Last academic year a higher percentage of the students who the Advice Centre supported at University Meetings were from marginalised backgrounds (including Black students). Your Advice Centre is here to support you when times are hard at UEA, we can provide free and independent advice, advocacy and representation at Student Engagement Meetings, Plagiarism and Collusion Meetings, Fitness to Practice meets, Non-academic Disciplinary Meetings and SSDC Hearings. Not matter what the issues, we’re here to support you, empower you and ensure you know your rights at UEA.

Job Role: Student Lead (x2 posts available)
Description: We are looking for two enthusiastic PhD Student Leads that are passionate about widening the participation of ethnically diverse students studying humanities in higher education. As a PhD Student Lead, you would be responsible for supervising a small team of undergraduate Student Coordinators. You would provide them with support and guidance in the research, development, and delivery of engaging and inspiring academic sessions that expose, explore, and empower black humanities to year 9 and 10 students within local schools. We actively encourage applications from people with black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
