Hi, I’m Hannah!

I’m running to be a non-portfolio officer. I’m a 3^rd year drama student, so am used to making my voice heard and am prepared to advocate for students in order to make UEA a better place.

• I want to continue the efforts of the 23/24 officers on  improving the report and support system

• I want to ensure students are knowledgeable on their support options

Whilst there are support systems in place, too many victims are being left without the support they deserve, and many offenders are not held accountable. I want to make campus a safer place by liasing with the university to improve the process of reporting sexual harassment and violence, and improve students’ awareness on resources and support services that are available, since I’ve noticed this is not widely known.

I would like to continue efforts into creating a data sharing agreement with the university for report and support cases, and also want to review the current system dealing with code of conduct violations, particularly to ensure punishments are stricter for repeat offenders. The current scope of the cases able to be investigated by SU is very limited, so I would like to continue looking into this with SU.
