How to join a society

To join our Societies you need to purchase memberships through the below Society pages. If you have any questions around this, please contact our Activities Team on union.societies@uea.ac.uk, and we’ll be happy to help!

If you are unable to purchase the above standard memberships because you are either under the age of 18 or a non-UEA Student, please check out the memberships page.

Membership refund requests

In certain situations, you are able to request a membership refund when leaving your Club or Society. For information on the criteria for this and how to make a refund request, download the refund document.

Creating a new society 

If you have a new idea, passion or hobby that you think other students will love too, you can look to create your own Society. To do this you first need to find 20 other students who are interested, which you can do by proposing your new idea further down this page.

      Believers' Loveworld (BLW) exists to help students build a strong personal relationship with God through teaching, fellowship, and practical engagement on campus. Our aim is to create a welcoming community where students can grow in faith, develop leadership skills, and learn how to apply biblical principles in their everyday lives. We place a strong emphasis on mentorship and training that helps students pursue excellence in academics, relationships, and personal development alongside their spiritual growth. Our activities go beyond weekly fellowship. We host workshops, discussion forums, social events, community service projects, and creative opportunities in music, arts, and media. These activities allow members to develop practical skills in communication, teamwork, and organisation while building friendships and serving the wider student community.
