This is a place for all things books, in all their forms!
This society is a place where we can share the books we love and the ones we don’t. Some of the most interesting and engaging conversations often come from disagreement and discussing why a book didn’t work for someone can be just as valuable as celebrating the ones we adore. We aim to create a welcoming, creative, and inspiring space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their honest opinions, knowing that different perspectives will always be welcomed and respected. By sharing our passions, and our frustrations, we can build a community that makes reading an exciting, social, and thought-provoking experience.
Our society is made up of people studying many different subjects, and each discipline brings its own ways of thinking and interpreting the world. I want us to use the perspectives and skills we develop through our different degrees to help each other discover new layers within the books we read.
Most importantly, I want the Literature Society to be an open and inclusive space. Our tastes are all different, and that’s something to celebrate. By embracing all genres and forms of literature, we can create a society that reflects the diversity of the people within it.
