Welcome to the UEA African & Caribbean Medical Society!
We are a close-knit community of healthcare students committed to supporting one another throughout our time at university. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging while working to break down the barriers faced by African and Caribbean students in healthcare.
Throughout the academic year, we organize a range of events and activities, including:
• Networking and social events
• Mentorship and career development opportunities
• Revision sessions
• Health awareness talks and discussions
We warmly invite students from all year groups and healthcare professions to join our community. Founded in 2019, our mission has been to support and inspire African and Caribbean medics. Looking ahead to 2026, we aim to expand our reach and create a space where ALL Black healthcare students can come together, share experiences, and grow.
