UEA Innovators is UEA's own inventors and robotics society, open to students from any course who are curious about making things, breaking things, and learning how they work. We run practical sessions, workshops and hands-on sessions where you can get stuck into electronics, robotics, prototyping and coding, whether you are a complete beginner or already working on your own ideas. As a Personal Development society under UEA SU, we focus on growing your confidence, portfolio and problem-solving skills through collaborative builds, innovation challenges and teamwork.

Our core approach revolves around working on mini projects throughout the year that each contribute towards a larger, year-long main project. Rather than isolated one-off builds, every session is a stepping stone towards something bigger. This means you'll develop real skills progressively while being part of a meaningful collective effort that culminates in an impressive final build we can all be proud of.

Across the year we aim to support member-led projects, from small gadgets to more ambitious robotics and engineering builds, while creating a friendly community of tinkerers, engineers and creatives. Whether you want to learn how to solder your first circuit, code a robot from scratch, or contribute to our flagship year-long project, there's a place for you here.

Our members come from a wide range of courses and backgrounds, all united by a shared curiosity and a desire to learn by doing. We believe the best way to understand engineering is to get your hands dirty, make mistakes, and iterate on your ideas with the support of a welcoming community.

If you're interested in innovation, robotics, engineering or just trying something new, come along, meet the committee and get involved. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and have fun while building cool things together!
