First Things First - Rules & Guidance!

Before you do anything, you must read the rules of the su elections! These are compulsory and apply to all candidates. Failure to abide by the rules we have laid out for you can result in the denial of your candidacy.

For Full Time Officer Candidates:

If you are running for a Full Time Officer position, YOU MUST complete the following tasks by 5pm Wednesday 18th February;

Watch the mandatory FTO Video.
Check out the following resources listed in the video: The Education Act 1994 and The Essential Trustee
Fill in the mandatory FTO Microsoft Form.
Submit your manifesto online via the election portal (same place where you nominated yourself)
Confirm your attendance as part of the panel for Candidate Question Time

Candidate Question Time: 24th February 5:30pm - 7:30pm; Blue Bar, bar(su); Candidate Question Time is your chance to be publicly seen as a candidate. In a panel format, candidates can answer questions from our students on the issues that matter to them and get their personality across to potential voters.

Budgeting

All candidates are given some money to put towards purchases needed for your campaign (printing, stationary, paints, etc). To ensure that all our candidates are running on an even playing field, we have some rules and regulations about what is and isn't allowed when running their campaign. We recommend you familiarise yourself with these rules before getting too carried away with your campaign planning.
