My Vision - Real Change for Students
Better Transport:
- More bus times for Bowthorpe so students can travel easily and reliably.
- Continue the Night Bus, making sure late-night travel remains safe and affordable.
Affordable and Better Food:
- Lower food prices for students.
- More cultural variety (Halal, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free).
- Push for better quality and healthier options.
Health and Welfare:
- Reopen the campus pharmacy to make student life more accessible and convenient.
- Restructure and rebrand the Community Pantry into The Pantry Corner:
- Meal-based products with recipes.
- Better support for students in need.
Support for Student Businesses and Placement Students:
- Fight for more funding and subsidies for placement students (especially Pharmacy).
- Launch Shark Tank UEA to help student entrepreneurs pitch ideas, gain funding, and receive mentorship.
Culture and Diversity:
- Go Global Rebranding: make it the umbrella for all cultural events, while keeping the main Go Global festival as the flagship celebration.
- More cultural club nights and bigger society-led events.
- Stronger support for international students, ensuring UEA is welcoming for all.
Safety and Community:
- Prioritize safety on campus with projects like:
- Safety Bus Scheme to help students get home safely.
- More initiatives that make campus a secure environment for everyone.
From better transport and food, to funding, safety, and cultural events, I will work to make UEA a better, fairer, and more supportive place for EVERY student.
