We are the formal channel for all aspects of academic and non-academic representation at UEA, supporting your Elected Officers, Convenors, and other student leaders. Our role is to ensure your voice is heard in every decision that impacts your student experience. Alongside this, we run campaigns throughout the year, addressing the issues that matter most to UEA students, from mental health support to sustainability initiatives.

Your student officers represent you! You can contact them about academic issues, clubs and societies, campaigns and more.

Academic Convenors

Convenors stand up for your interests, represent you across academic meetings in the SU and the University, and lead change in your education.

Students of Colour Ambassadors

Student of Colour Ambassadors work with the university to tackle the degree awarding gap and other issues which affect students of colour.

Postgraduate Committee

The Postgraduate Committee take part in decisions regarding the PG budget, events and campaigns, and the use of the Graduate Centre.

Research and advocacy

At uea(su) we don’t just react—we research. Our work is informed by in-depth research that explores trends within higher education and, more importantly, reflects the lived experiences of UEA students. Through surveys, focus groups, and direct engagement, we make sure your experiences and feedback shape our actions.
