Welcome to PBU UEA, part of the rapidly growing Plant-Based Universities (PBU) campaign that has seen amazing success since its start in 2021. PBU campaigns worldwide for institutional change within universities as key places of learning, research and influence. #Feed the future not the crisis
With over 90 student-led campaigns worldwide (in 10 countries and counting), campaigning for fully plant-based catering, 32 universities have already agreed to plant based commitments, 12 to a full transition! We're motivated to achieve the same, here at UEA. So much research and existing knowledge point toward a plant-based diet being far better for ourselves, the planet, and the animals we share it with. So let's get UEA to do something about it! A sustainable future starts with what we eat.
We are a group of passionate activists, environmentalists and campaigners looking for other students wanting to see this important change. Consider joining our campaign even if you just want to attend the socials, everyone is welcome. Please get in touch (to join our whatsapp) and join our budding team to make a real difference.
We have regular socials, events and trips with new people joining all the time. Get to know like-minded individuals who care about our future. Our previous events have included outreach, workshops, games nights, picnics and camping trips, with so much planned for the future (see below for some photos).

A board games social with the Uni of Cambridge at Slice and Dice (We've do regular collabs with the Cambridge PBU including training sessions, socials and tours of each other's cities. And now that there is a campaign at NUA we're hoping to work closely with them as well)
