The Headlights Comedy Society is a welcoming group of writers, performers and lovers of comedy at the University of East Anglia.
This year, our new committee have been gradually getting the society back on its feet post-lockdown and running successful stand-up nights at the Blue Bar in the autumn semester, with many students making their debut in stand-up!
We're planning to continue through the rest of the 2021/22 year with:
- Monthly stand-up nights in the Blue Bar!
- Improv nights playing games based on popular panel shows like Would I Lie to You? and Mock the Week!
- Socials and trips to local stand-up groups that we've been building relationships with!
- Writing Rooms where members can share their stand-up routines, sketches, sitcoms and anything else comedy related! You can recieve encouraging feedback and on your work or come along to watch and maybe read for other writers!
We're hoping to plan to create:
- Our own sketch show written and performed by members!
- A festival of sitcom pilot episodes written and performed by members!
