The UEA Chess Society exists to promote the game of chess within the University of East Anglia. The Society welcomes players with all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to experienced players. We offer a friendly and constructive atmosphere to play in, along with an active and varied social scene, that includes regular sober social events. We also regularily hold collaboration events with other groups, including chess societies at other universities. 

We currently have a team playing in the Norfolk County Chess Association's Invitation Only League, headed up by our Captain Ali Gendj.
