About Us
Confidential. Anonymous. Supportive. Whatever is on your mind, talk to Nightline.
Nightline is run for students, by students, and you can talk to us about anything you like. Often people feel that what they’re experiencing isn’t serious or important enough to talk to someone about, but Nightline is here for you no matter what is going on. If it’s on your mind, we want to hear about it. We are a confidential and anonymous organisation so whatever you tell us stays within the organisation.
Our volunteers are trained to listen, not to lecture.
We don't give advice, but we are here to help you talk through whatever is on your mind in a non-judgemental setting. You can contact us via our many contact methods, which can be found via our website or by logging into your MyUEA page (http://norwich.nightline.ac.uk/).
We also are able to provide basic signposting to UEA and Norwich services. We are confidential, so you can feel safe sharing things with us. We’ll never ask your name. We’ll never tell you what you should do.
We are well established and award winning.
Norwich Nightline is a certified to operate safely and legally in line with the Good Practice Guidelines of the National Nightline Association. We've been around at UEA since 1972 and know what it means to listen, as well of the importance of being listened to.
We have recieved several awards, including:

Nightline wouldn't run without the students who volunteer with us. Are you ready to start your journey with us?
If you think you'd be interested in becoming a Nightliner, our recruitment drives each year are usually October and February. While we do not yet know when training can resume, if you register your interest, we'll be in touch if we are able to conduct a training intake this February. Please note that in order to join Nightline, there is a formal application and selection process that you will be contacted about nearer to the time.
