UEA Lacrosse (The Eagles) comprises of the University's Men's Lacrosse team and two Women's Lacrosse teams. Three teams compete in BUCS competitions, with the Men's team playing in Midlands 1A, the Women's 1st Team playing in Midlands 2A, while the Women's 2nd Team play in Midlands 2B.
The 2021/22 season was a great success for The Eagles! Being a mixed club with almost 100 members we have had a brilliant year on and off the pitch.
The Mens team have remained strong, competing in the men’s national trophy and the 1A league in which they finished 4th.
Both women’s teams have arguably had their best season in years. The 1’s came 2nd in the 2A league (sadly missing out from 1st by 2 points). As well as being finalists of the Midlands cup!
The 2nd Women's team were hugely successful this year. The team only debuted in the 2017/18 season however this season they dominated the 3A league; having now been promoted to tier 2, alongside with the 1s.
The year ended with a huge double win, with both the Mens and Women’s beating our varsity rivals, University of Essex, at Derby day!

Additional Cost of Sport Ranges
The additional cost of sport project, which was created by the Students’ Union, alongside uea+sport, is designed to give prospective members information on the range of costs they may face in joining their chosen sport.
This range should be taken as guidance. For compulsory costs, this price includes uea+sport membership which is £55, and you only need to pay once to join all of our clubs.
When considering additional costs, some clubs may have none and others may have further costs. This is often dependent on the level of competitiveness for the sport you get involved in, and so recreational or socially playing may be cheaper. You may also have equipment which can be used between multiple sports, for example shoes or gum shields.
For any questions, please ask the sport club for specific further information, or union.opportunities@uea.ac.uk for further information on the project.
Many thanks,
Luke Johnson
