UEA Futsal is a welcoming club that caters to players of all abilities, whether you want to play casually or competitively while representing the University in our highly successful BUCS teams.
As a club, we train twice a week @ the Sportspark halls:
- Wednesday 07:15 - 08:45
- Friday 21:00 - 22:20
We have two men's squads that compete in BUCS Midlands Tier 2a alongside in the cup. These games are played on Sundays against other univeristies.
Not only is Futsal about what happens on court, off court we run weekly socials including Sports Night Wednesdays and LCR nights, sober socials, team dinners and an end-of-year awards night. Plus, every year UEA Futsal goes abroad on tour, making it a great way to build friendships and unforgettable memories!
Go to the @UeaFutsal Instagram page for all updates and to join our members only Whatsapp group chat for updates too!

Membership Costs
We know that the price of joining Futsal can sometimes feel unexpected for new members, but we’re committed to being open about exactly how your fees are used and what they include. Your membership is a single payment made at the start of the year, which then covers you for the whole season and for those competing in BUCS will pay an additional fee to cover all matchday expenses (this included travel, match fees and kit). If you’d like more detail about where the money goes or why certain costs are in place, please just reach out, we’re always happy to explain. Please see below.
The Real Cost of Sport
The 'Real Cost of Sport' initiative, a project reviewed and rebranded by the Students' Union in partnership with uea+sport, aims to provide prospective members with a comprehensive overview of the potential costs of joining their chosen sports club. This year, I have worked closely with the clubs to ensure these tables are as accurate and up-to-date as possible.

Unupdated version above^^^. Prices to be updated for 2025/26
This guide is intended to serve as a general reference. The compulsory cost includes the uea+sport membership fee of £55, which is a one-time payment that covers membership across all clubs.
When considering additional expenses, it is important to note that some clubs may not have any extra costs, while others might incur additional fees. These costs often depend on the level of competitiveness within the sport; recreational or social participation is generally less expensive. Additionally, some equipment, such as shoes or gum shields, may be used across multiple sports, potentially reducing overall expenses.
For any specific questions or further information about a particular club, please contact the club directly or contact us at union.opportunities@uea.ac.uk for more details about the project.
All the best,
Olivia Hunt
