Withdrawn From Your Course?

Information for students who have been notified of a withdrawal from their course

academic

If you have been withdrawn from your course

If you have recently received a notification of withdrawal from your course, this is likely due to your recent assessment or reassessment results not meeting the requirements to allow progression into your next year of study.

This is understandably very stressful and upsetting information to receive - please take time to read through our guidance so you can make the right decision about next steps.

You have the right to submit an academic appeal, but must meet certain grounds for the appeal to be considered eligible. This can include things like your performance being impacted by previously-unreported ECs; the University not following its published procedures correctly, or teaching not being satisfactory. Just being dissatisfied with your results is not enough to meet the grounds of an appeals.

You can only submit an academic appeal once so it’s really important that you include all the information and evidence needed to best demonstrate your circumstances when submitting your appeal on myUEA.
