Dr Daniel Grace will take you on a journey from life as a medical student to work on expeditions, mountain rescue, working in -30°C on the coldest Arctic Ice Ultramarathon, to deserts, tropical island TV shows and clinics in Zambia!
Dr Grace is a South Wales-based GP specialising in expedition and wilderness medicine, travel health, and pre-hospital emergency care. An experienced expedition doctor, he has supported adventures across the globe, from the Canadian Arctic to remote Zambia, where he led the award-winning Livingstone Revisited 2024 Expedition, earning the Scientific Exploration Society’s O’Hea Explorer of the Year award.
Daniel is an Advanced Life Support instructor, a member of Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, a BASICS doctor with Medserve Wales, and volunteer Medical Director for Virtual Doctors, supporting rural healthcare in Zambia and Malawi. Passionate about adventure and its power to build resilience, confidence, and purpose, he combines medical expertise with a love of the great outdoors.
If you are interested in a career in expedition and wilderness medicine, this talk is for you!
