Fancy trying your hand at punch needle and creating a Halloween decoration in the process?
The wonderful Quinn (toadtooth) is running a fun, beginner-friendly workshop for Stitch 'n' Mix members. Choose from a pre-drawn pattern or let your creativity take over and design your own! You will set up your own hoop, thread your needle and then: PUNCH!
Punch Needle uses a hollow needle to push loops of yarn into a woven fabric. These loops can be adjusted in height to create various finishes - perfect for wall hangings, rugs, wrist/desk supports and, of course, coasters!
After the workshop (due to limited time) Quinn will glue and back the coasters with wool-blend felt and then post it back out to us, to give to you before Halloween! This process will be explained during the workshop, and attendees can choose to have a D-Ring attached to the back in order to hang their work from a wall.
All materials will be provided!
Bookable Room 1 is fully accessible, if you wish to ask any questions please get in touch via our Instagram or stitchnmix.soc@uea.ac.uk :)
**Tickets available at 9am on Friday 25th September**
