JSC 1.03
In 2006, the year that GeekSoc's very own Sam was born, an idea was developed. A spiritual successor to Winx Club by Italian producer Iginio Straffi was thought of. 3 years later in 2009 it was released to a mediocre reception.
Huntik follows a history student named Lok Lambert at uni where after dozing off in a lecture has to get acquire notes from his classmate Sophie Casterwill. They find an amulet and journel belonging to Lok's father and after less than 30 seconds in watching time a member of the mysterious organisation, Organisation jumps through a window and tries to take them. After a while of escapades they find the elusive and top seeker, Dante Vale.
Oh yeah, the amulets also allow them to summon spirits called Titans to help them fight, Yo-Kai Watch style.
Join us this Thursday from 18:15 in JSC 1.03 for one week only before we return to our comfortable regular NewSci room. We'll watch some episodes of the show, then we'll be running a Huntik-adjacent quiz and there'll of course be plenty of time to catch up with your existing friends or even to make new friends, either in the standard way or out of scavenged materials you've found around campus. See you there!
