DMTS are proud to present our 2026 Showcase: TWO VERY DIFFERENT CARS 

A double bill of brand new, student-written theatre, kicking off DMTS's first production of the year! Expect big laughs, gut-wrenching moments and student theatre at its best. 

Death is Now Privatised - an existential, thought-provoking drama, written & directed by Chloe Potter.

Buying a Car? In This Economy? - an absurdist comedy, written by Adam Pickard and co-directed by Ben Trayner-Clarke & Darcy Goulston. 

New to DMTS? This event is for you! We especially encourage first years and anyone who hasn't been involved with us before to come along and watch - it's a brilliant, low-pressure way to check out the Drama Studio and see what DMTS is all about.

Coming on your own? That's okay - lots of people do! Committee members will be around before/after the show and during the interval if you fancy a chat - we'll have a DMTS name badge and/or DMTS jumper on, so we'll be easy to spot!

Important:

• Timings: Please arrive from 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Both plays are around 45 minutes (with a short interval between them). We expect the event to finish around 9:30pm.
• Content Warnings: Foul language, sexual innuendo, reference to violence/murder, reference to smoking & drugs, reference to sexual misconduct, reference to an unseen child with cancer. Prevalent themes of death and grief. One short moment of blackout.
• Accessibility: The Drama Studio has ground access, with seating arrangements available for wheelchair users/other mobility requirements - just get in touch with us ahead of time via Instagram (@ueadmts) or Email (ueadramasoc@gmail.com) so that we can arrange this for you. An analogue induction loop is fitted in the studio; if you use a digital hearing aid, please check with your audiologist that it's loop-enabled.
