UEASU Harvest Festival 2026 presents Pantry Food Donation Drive
Drop off in the SU Office- Union House 9am-5pm Monday-Friday from the 16th-30th of October
As part of the Harvest Festival 2026, we're giving students free, healthy and filling food to help with the cost-of-living crisis! This includes Free Community Dinners, Free Mature and Commuter Breakfast Clubs and a Pantry Food Donation Drive!
As part of this incredible line-up, we're looking for students and staff to donate food, hygiene and household items to our UEA SU Pantry & Caddy Donation Drive.
The Pantry & Caddy are our SU Food Bank- providing essential food items, hygiene products and household necessities to UEA students in need!
Since the start of term, the Pantry & Caddy have been in high demand. As student maintenance loans run out, food and fuel prices rise and budgeting becomes harder, we want to be prepared to support as many students as possible.
Our SU food bank is an essential resource for students who need support with the cost-of-living crisis, and in true primary school harvest festival style, we're looking for donations of items such as tins and jars so that we can continue to support students with free food long into the winter!
Items we're looking for include:
- Pasta
- Rice
- Noodles
- Canned chopped tomatoes
- Canned fish (e.g. tuna)
- Chickpeas
- Kidney beans
- Baked beans
- Sauce jars (e.g. curry sauce, pasta sauce)
- Sugar
- Porridge
- Cereal
- Vegetable/ sunflower oil
- Men's/unisex deodorant
- Shampoo
- Body wash
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Handsoap
- Washing up liquid
All items must be sealed (unopened), and within both the use-by-date and best-before-date.
