We offer a plethora of opportunities including CV/Cover Letter (and more!) workshops, speaker events featuring from recent graduates to high-level executives, and practical simulations to hone your professional skills. Additionally, we organise networking events to broaden your horizons and social gatherings to integrate you into a growing community of like-minded students.
Whether you're pursuing a degree unrelated to finance and have no prior experience in the field, it genuinely doesn't matter and don't let anything hold you back from learning. Here's what's coming in 2024-25...
- Central Resource Document -Upon joining, we will provide a document containing links to resources, ranging from Interview Prep, to Financial Modelling. This document contains around 50 links and should provide a solid baseline in terms of where to start.
- Speaker Events - We have a speaker calendar, where we will host online events with working professionals.
- Regular Social Events (Pub nights and collaborations with sports clubs, stay tuned!)
- Platform for Passion Projects. Work together in teams and create something tangible! This could be anything from Blockchain research to summarising Investment Outlook 2025. Check our story highlights on Instagram!
- Paper Trading Competition on Investopedia - Runs from 22nd September - 20th December. Cash prizes for those with the highest P&L record, and for the best reflection.
- Commercial Awareness Sessions - Sessions will be run throughout the semester, ranging from interesting hot topics, industry deep-dives, and corporate finance technicals.
- Careers Sessions - Our Head of Careers, Chelsea, will host several sessions throughout the semester providing additional tips how to break into the finance industry.

Oakwood Fund Management
Oakwood Fund Management is our new, real money, Student-Run ESG Investment Fund that gives students the practical experience of handling real capital in the live market using professional techniques. We are looking for anyone with a passion to learn and improve their financial acumen, regardless of previous experience and background, to join our team.
By joining our team you will have the opportunity to learn the practical skills that come with managing assets while supporting outstanding companies that set an example through their sustainable practices. We will train you from any skill level to become market savvy, and will set you up to become responsible and effective investors for the rest of your life!
