2026 has begun with brazen imperialist
invasion, abduction, and plunder in Venezuela. Trump now has his eyes on Colombia, Mexico and Greenland.

These blatant imperialist attacks, cloaked in lies and hypocrisy, are part of a wider plan for American capitalism to dominate the entire Western hemisphere, kicking its rivals out of the region, and looting Latin America's valuable resources for profit.

At home, Starmer has nothing to say against Trump's lawless actions as our ruling class scrambles to maintain its close ties to the US.

Meanwhile, in the middle east, unrest unfolds in Iran and Israel's decimation of Gaza continues.

It is impossible to understand the chaos in world relations without considering how events are inextricably tied to the class struggle, namely the ambitions of the ruling class, who sit in a precarious position as capitalism faces existential crisis.

As communists, we stand unconditionally with Venezuela and against Western Imperialism.
