Trans Awareness Week: Movie Night

The movie we are watching is... Every Day (2018) directed by Michael Sucsy

This is a sober social event as part of Pride society's celebration of Trans Awareness Week.

Come along and celebrate the lives of Transgender people from history by watching a movie that is inspired by/starring transgender people/actors. This event aims to raise awareness of Transphobia and the ill-treatment of Transgender people.

This event is a free event for anyone to attend.

Please be respectful of those around you, anyone heard or reported to be making discriminatory remarks will be asked to leave the event and then reported to UEASU.

This event is a sober event. Anyone who is caught with alcohol (or drugs) in their possession will be asked to leave the event immediately.

The committee is always on hand to direct you to the right place if you  need any advice. We also aim to provide a safe space for all our members, please make us aware of any concerns you may have!

Coronavirus Information

This event is being held in one of the smaller lecture theatres on campus, and although mask-wearing is not required to attend events, it is highly encouraged where possible. We ask that everyone in attendance respects other people's thoughts and feelings about COVID-19. 

We also ask that you show proof of immunity, this can be provided in 3 separate ways:

  1. A negative Lateral Flow Test (LFT) that was taken within the last 48 hours.
  2. Double vaccination card (with the last dose at least 14 days prior to the event).
  3. negative PCR test that was taken within the last 90 days.

We will have LFTs available for anyone who cannot provide proof of immunity otherwise.
