Earlier this month, the New York Times published an article titled 'Did Women ruin the Workplace?'. After a swift backlash, the headline was changed to 'Did Liberal Feminism ruin the workplace?'. In either case, the article caused controversy when it opined that 'wokeness' and increased female representation have irreversibly altered the workplace for men, but more than that, it unveiled that attitudes toward women in the workplace might not have come as far as we hope.

This week at Model UN, we'll represent various countries debating the topic of women in the workplace. Whether you're the UK, where progressive laws clash with a persisting issue of workplace sexual harassment, Rwanda, which boasts the world's highest rates of female parliamentary representation but is still working to mirror this in its civilian workforce, or the Netherlands, which sees the vast majority of women working only part-time due to societal expectations, come and join the discussion!

Please wear pink to the session as we're trying to raise awareness for breast cancer research!
