You're not alone. Research show many midwives and midwifery students report feeling under-prepared or lacking confidence when responding to domestic abuse and safeguarding, particularly before targeted training. 

This day is designed to change that. 

Join us for a full day safeguarding workshop delivered by Fran Edgley, UEA BSc Midwifery alumni now working within Children's Services. Bringing maternity and social care pracice, this session offers practical, real world clarity.

We'll cover:

• Recognising domestic abuse in pregnancy
• Responding safely to disclosure
• Safeguarding pathways and referrals
• CIN, CP, Section 20 and parental responsability
• Risk Assessment and scaling
• Documentation and accountability
• Interactive case studies 

All attendees will receive a practical safeguarding toolkit to support you in placement and beyond, along with a certificate for your portfolios.
