Financial Crises - Guest Lecture by Professor Franklin Allen

We are excited to announce that the Norwich Business School and the School of Economics will be hosting a guest lecture by Prof. Franklin Allen, one of the world’s leading scholars in finance and economics.

Professor Allen is currently Professor of Finance and Economics and Executive Director of the Brevan Howard Centre at Imperial College London, having previously taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for 36 years. He is also a co-author of the widely used textbook “Principles of Corporate Finance” and has served as president of several major finance associations.

His research spans corporate finance, financial innovation, and financial crises; topics that are highly relevant to students interested in investment, financial markets, and policy. His talk will focus on recent financial crises, their causes & trends we can observe, a snapshot of the current global economy, and the likelihood of another financial crisis occurring in the short to medium term.
