If you are looking to improve your public speaking school and promote mental health awareness to young people, all in a safe and supportive environment, this is the opportunity for you!
You do not need to have any experience in delivering workshops, we will provide all the training you need.
Information for the workshop below:
Location: Hellesdon High School, NR6 5SB
Date: Wednesday 12 November
Time: 11:10 - 13:10
Year groups: Year 12 @ 11:10 - 12:10 // Year 13 @ 12:10 - 13:10
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have completed Safeguarding Training prior to this workshop
Training
- We will provide you with workshop training and a member of committee who has experience in delivering workshops will be there with you on the day.
- Workshop training will involve going through the slides, looking through the script available for you to use, and going through any questions you may have about the workshop/delivering it. It also gives you a chance to make any suggestions to the workshop content/script
- This is a great opportunity to also meet the people you will be delivering the workshop with and to practice together.
Logistics
- Transport is provided for you on the day
- If you are a UEA approved fleet car driver (you would have ticked the option to do this when completing your sign-up to safeguarding training) and would like to drive on the day please let us know once you have got your ticket.
- We will leave from the Congregation Hall on the day, and will come back to C.Hall when returning
If you can't attend this workshop, no worries at all! There will be plenty of opportunities in the future - especially in Semester 2 - and will be doing workshops on campus for various student groups you can attend/get involved in.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions :)
