UEA's Master of Arms tournament is one of the premier fencing events in the East of England! Competitors can fence in one, two, or all three weapons. Those who fence with all three are eligible for the coveted title of Master of Arms!

The tournament is a mixed-gender format and fencers of all ages (13+) and experience levels are welcome

Date: March 14, 2026

Location: UEA Sportspark, Hall 2

A British Fencing recreational membership is required at a minimum

Please fill out the form to let us know what weapon(s) you wise to participate in: UEA Fencing Master of Arms 2026 Registration Form – Fill in form

Format - Each weapon will be two rounds of poules. The first poule round is randomly selected, with the competition organisers then trying to move fencers around based on skill level so that each poule is as balanced as possible. The seeding for the second round is done by splitting ranking after the first poule. Final ranking is determined by a fencer's ranking at the end of the second poule.

If a fencer competes in all three weapons, they are eligible for the Master of Arms trophy. This is determined by the fencer's average final ranking from all three weapons. The fencer with the best average ranking across all three will win the trophy! There will be an overall Master of Arms and a Women's Master of Arms awarded.

Entries will open at 8am, with each weapon starting at:
Foil - 8:30am
Sabre - 11:30am
Epee - 2:00pm
