Author Talk with Sami Al-Sayyad

Join CWS with recently self-published author, Sami Al-Sayyad, to talk about his debut novel, Spying on an Idiot!

We'll start with a discussion about the novel, sharing some excerpts, before ending the evening with an open audience discussion and the chance to purchase and have Sami's novel signed by himself!

Sami-Al-Sayyad is a student and debut author from London. He is currently touring his novel, Spying on an Idiot, an anti-coming-of-age story about two students navigating the challenges of school, grappling with paranoia, insecurity, and the struggle to belong. As an avid enjoyer of literature, cinema and history, Sami is always keen to dive into his literary influences, analyse pop culture through a philosophical lens, and discuss themes such as cultural identity.

We are excited to offer this opportunity for any students at UEA who'd love to discover more about self-publishing and range of contemporary literature on offer today.
