2023/24 Welcome & Wildlife Walk

A walk around the campus with other wildlife-lovers, we'll look for interesting wildlife, show you some of our favourite places on the campus and you can meet lots of people who share your passion!

We'll meet at The Square at 2.30pm, where the committee will give a quick introductory talk, and then we'll take a walk around the campus! Please wear appropriate footwear (trainers or walking boots is fine) and dress for the weather: currently light showers are being forecast but this could well change. The walk should take about two hours. 

We will try to show you some of UEA's interesting wildlife, like Great Crested Grebes on the lake, as well as pointing out all our favourite places on the campus. Bring binoculars if you have some, we will also have a telescope that can be shared to get close views of some wildlife. If you're a fresher, this is also a great chance to learn your way around some of the greener parts of the campus, and a first chance to make some friends who share your love of nature! 

There's no need to be a paid-up CAWS member to attend, this is a taster session so you can see if you like what we have to offer.
