CardioSoc OSCE Workshop - Defibrillation

Event details

Tickets

£0.00 (Members)

CardioSoc is running a hands-on Defibrillation Workshop designed to help you approach emergency OSCE scenarios with a calm, structured, and safe method—exactly how examiners want to see it.

This session is highly practical. You will work through realistic OSCE-style cardiac arrest scenarios, learning how to take control early, allocate roles, and manage the patient using a clear ABCDE + ALS approach. We’ll focus on recognising key rhythms, deciding what to do next, and communicating your plan clearly while maintaining patient safety and team leadership.

You’ll practise how to manage common scenario pathways, including shockable vs non-shockable rhythms, when to escalate, what to say and do during defibrillation, and how to avoid the high-frequency errors that cost marks (poor safety checks, unclear commands, incorrect sequencing, and failure to reassess).

By the end of the workshop, you should be able to walk into a defib/arrest OSCE station with a reliable framework: structured assessment, confident rhythm recognition, safe defibrillation technique, and clear management steps—all delivered in an examiner-friendly format.

All attendees will receive a comprehensive CardioSoc defibrillation resource with a step-by-step OSCE approach, key phrases and commands, common rhythms and actions, and a checklist you can use for repeated practice leading into your OSCEs.
