CardioSoc is running an Info-Giving Workshop designed specifically for your OSCEs, with a clear focus on what you need to perform well in the Cardiology info-giving stations in Modules C + D.
In this session, we will teach you the full, step-by-step structure you should use for any info-giving station—so you can deliver explanations that are safe, structured, and patient-friendly, while consistently hitting the mark scheme. We’ll break down how to open the consultation, assess baseline understanding, explain clearly using “chunk and check,” handle questions and concerns, and close with a confident summary and plan.
We will also go through the most common mistakes students make in these stations—what examiners frequently mark down, and how to avoid the usual pitfalls (including missed red flags, unclear explanations, poor signposting, and weak summarising).
To make revision straightforward, every attendee will receive a comprehensive CardioSoc info-giving document covering everything you need for the C + D info-giving content, including a reusable structure you can apply across conditions and procedures, key phrasing, and high-yield points that regularly come up in OSCEs.
