✨ Recollections and Reflections of an Old Doctor: A talk by Dr Iain Duncan
We are delighted to welcome Dr Iain Duncan for a fascinating talk reflecting on a lifetime in medicine.
Dr Duncan was born in the 1930s and graduated in medicine in Glasgow in 1959. After completing five hospital posts, he became a GP in South-West Scotland. In 1974, he was appointed Director of the University Health Service at UEA, a role he held until his retirement in 1999.
In this engaging and reflective session, Dr Duncan will explore three key themes:
- Recollections of medical events throughout his personal and professional life
- Thoughts and reflections on current medical practice
- Advice on maintaining and improving the health and wellbeing of medical (and other) professionals
This promises to be a unique opportunity to hear stories and insights from decades of experience in medicine, alongside thoughtful reflections on how the profession has evolved.
👩⚕️ Open to all medical school years, doctors, and NHS staff, everyone is welcome!
