📢GEMSoc Speaker Event: Dr Boeck, F1 at JPH and former GEM student 📢
GEMSoc excited to welcome Dr Boeck for an evening of insights, practical advice, and discussion tailored to medical students (GEM or undergrads). This is a great opportunity to explore key aspects of medical school, career planning, and personal growth, all in a relaxed and approachable setting.
The event will begin with a short five-minute introduction, followed by three themed talks from Dr Boeck:

- Ambition and Career Choices – exploring different paths, handling expectations, and thinking about success in medicine
- Staying Motivated During Training – strategies to maintain balance, resilience, and perspective
Dr Boeck will also weave in student-suggested topics, including reflections on unexpected lessons and experiences, making the session both practical and engaging.
The talk will conclude with a few final remarks and a Q&A session, giving members the chance to ask questions, seek advice, and discuss ideas.
