'Holy Spider' is a Persian-language film by director Ali Abassi (2022).

In the holy city of Mashhad in the East of Iran, sex workers are being targeted and killed, which the local press identifies as a religious cleansing. When a journalist comes all the way from Tehran, the capital city, to investigate this series of murders, she faces a great deal of obstacles and takes high risks to uncover the truth. Based on a true story taking place in Iran between August 2000 and July 2001.
