Navigate Norfolk - Horsey Seals Trip
Saturday 02 February 2019, 11am - 4pm
Meet at Megabus Stop on University Drive
One of the best places to experience the wildlife and beautiful scenery of Norfolk is Horsey Beach. This quiet sandy stretch of coast is home to a large colony of Grey Seals.
Early February is the perfect time of year to see the new seal pups, alongside territorial adults competing for space on the sand.
A walk along the Horsey dunes provides plenty of photo opportunities at this ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.’ The ticket price is £5, which includes coach travel.
Meet at the Mega Bus stop on campus at 11am on 2nd February. We will travel together by coach and the journey should take around 45 minutes. We’ll be back on campus no later than 4pm.
Wrap up warm for this trip as the sea air is chilly, a wind-proof jacket is recommended and suitable shoes for sandy terrain. Bring something to eat, and money for a hot drink from the mobile-kitchen.

What is Do Something Different?
The Do Something Different Programme is about trying a new activity and sparking your interests! We aim to encourage greater student interaction from across schools, liberations and courses that build your knowledge and skills as individuals. Perhaps you've been looking to try a new sport, attending a live music performance, or dabbling in an academic subject that piques your interest? We collate a wide variety of different activities happening across campus - from sports and games, to trips and extracurricular lectures!
There's always something happening every single day, and most events are absolutely free or cost very little! The best events will return during the Do Something Different Festival in Semester Two - a week-long celebration in which teaching is suspended for you to try a huge range of activities! Stay tuned for the full Festival programme coming soon!
