Return of Lamacq as DJ legend set to play 90s night

DJ legend Steve Lamacq is coming back to Norwich for a special guest slot at East Anglia's biggest and best 90s night.

Lamacq, former presenter of Radio One's influential The Evening Session and now a 6Music DJ, will be the very special guest at the next Common People Norwich event, being held at the Norwich Waterfront on Saturday, December 2 2023.

It will mark his second appearance at Common People events, having gone down a storm with music lovers in 2018.

Common People Norwich will be pumping out the biggest and best britpop, indie and dance from the 90s across TWO rooms in an event which is guaranteed to get the Christmas season off to the best possible start.

Common People has delivered some of the best nights going since launching its events devoted to 90s Britpop, indie and dance six years ago.

In that time it's also brought some of the biggest names from the era to Norwich, including Bez (Happy Mondays), Rick Witter (Shed 7), Louise Wener (Sleeper) and many more.

The night recently moved to The Waterfront and in March attracted more than 700 people to its special Suede afterparty. Last year Common People also made its Latitude Festival debut to a closing night crowd of around 1,000 people.

Lamacq and support DJs will deliver the best sing-a-long anthems from the 90s from the likes of Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Supergrass, Sleeper, Manic Street Preachers, Elastica, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Faithless and many more much loved club classics.
