LCR

We've updated the pricing to allow as many students to experience Welcome Ball. We want you all to have an opportunity to start your uni experience in the best possible way! #welcomememories

This is it! The biggest event of Welcome 2022. If you're not sure which event to go to...this is the one! Every single year we sell out of tickets and this will be no different... why?

...because this year is even bigger than last!

We have:

  • Circa Waves - Off the back of storming main stage sets at Reading and Leeds Festival, we are absolutely buzzing to bring ''T Shirt Weather'' to the Welcome Ball this year! Known for their nervy, melodic indie rock, Liverpool's Circa Waves first gained buzz in the 2010s with hooky singles like "Get Away" and "Stuck in My Teeth."
  • Fuse ODG - Groundbreaking Ghanaian-English afrobeats recording artist, Fuse has won multiple awards including the coveted MOBO, ‘Best African Act’ twice and worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran. Creating multiple tracks that have peaked on the UK singles charts such as “Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad)”, dance craze “Azonto”, “Dangerous Love” featuring Sean Paul, “T.I.N.A and the debut single “Antenna.
  • 3 huge rooms packed full with the best tunes and vibes!
  • Silent disco in the dome!
  • THREE fun fair rides
  • Games
  • Photo booths
  • face painters
  • Food vans
  • Bars
  • so much more that your friends back home will be green with envy! (you can bring two guests from outside of uni as well)

There is something for everyone here! It's your own UEA festival!

We have zero tolerance towards spiking.

Anyone caught spiking will be banned from the venue for life, if you or your friend think you have been spiked, please report it to staff – you will be believed.

Our Security and Venues teams are trained to support you; plus, our dedicated student welfare Alcohol Impact Crew, are on hand to operate a safe space in the Hive (we can help with getting students home if needed), alongside the marvellous St John First Aiders.

Please ask for a spikey at the bar and try to reuse it if possible. We will continue to routinely remove any abandoned drinks.

We really do want you to have a good night out.
